Can I Put Community College Credits on a High School Transcript? | Homeschooling

Can I Put Community College Credits on a High School Transcript? | Homeschooling | Homeschooling High School | Scoop.it
When you homeschool high school, 3 months can equal one year – when your kids are doing dual enrollment at a local community college. Dual enrollment is offered to students in many states. It provides high school and university credit at the same time. Homeschoolers take advantage of dual enrollment to help defray higher education expenses by allowing students the opportunity to earn university credit while still homeschooling.

Interesting article, if a plug for the author's "5 Biggest Mistakes Parents Make When Homeschooling High School" free email mini-course. Also links to a site with info about how to create a homeschool transcript.

A Closer Look at Virtual Learning Models

A Closer Look at Virtual Learning Models | Homeschooling High School | Scoop.it
Florida Virtual School is to be commended for the access to online classes they provide to any student, including homeschoolers, at no cost to those who are Florida residents. This must be a great help to homeschoolers, particularly at the high school level. Unfortunately, not all states are as progressive. NC, for one, also has a state, taxpayer-funded virtual school (NCVPS), but despite all the lip service about providing the best education to all NC students, NCVPS is not open to homeschoolers. Get with it, Governor Perdue. 21st Century education is about open access, not punitive restrictions.
